25th January

During this session we mainly revised the pending grammar exercises about modals.
Then, we explained and studied the differences between wilo, might to make predictions:

might= if you're not certain
will= you are certain

We did some practical exercises and finally, we discussed in group about the most important objects to use in case of a plane crash.
We finished the class watching a video in which some people talked about their future plans.

19th January

During this session we mainly talked about our future plans.
To start with, we looked for someone in the class who did the lottery every week, played board games or liked playing cards,etc...
After that, we looked at a photograph of a couple in the photocopies and described it. Then, we read about them and found out that they'd won the lotto.
We discussed about their possible future plans and then we checked if we were right by listening to a radio interview (audio 10.1). At the same time, we had to tick some expressions in the photocopy which referred to the couple's plans.
After that, we learnt about the grammar point: be going to and would like to.

be going to = used when you have a definite plan
would like to= when you want to do something or you don't have a definite plan.

We continued the class studying new vocabulary about plans. We had to complete some collocations with the correct verbal expression.

To consolidate this point, the students had to talked to some people in the class about their plans for this weekend, next week and next year.

We finished the session dealing with a new grammatical point: modals of possibility  or probability (might, will).
